What can you expect during those first weeks when you join our team as a collection professional?
Initially you will participate in a paid three-week training program designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed. This training includes:
- Different debt types
- Instruction and hands-on training of WMCC technology
- Effective collection techniques
- Working with borrowers
- One week of supervised on-the-job training that simulates life on the collections floor
Want to Know More?
Your two-week classroom training program is based on an ìactive trainingî model. Every opportunity is taken to involve you in the learning process. Group exercises, role-playing and question and answer sessions are just some of the techniques used. We also use computer-aided training, computer tutorials, audiotapes and a comprehensive training manual in the process.
After completion of your classroom work, youíll spend one supervised week in a collection unit simulating life on a collections floor. One-on-one coaching generally occupies several hours a day. Your training staff is always available for support and guidance to help ensure you are educating our borrowers on their rights, responsibilities and entitlements and practicing proper customer service skills.
Continuous On-The-Job Training
Your training doesnít end after the first three weeks. Your supervisor and other team members will provide on-the-job training and ongoing coaching throughout your employment, depending upon your needs. At WMCC, there is always an expert ready to help answer a question or lend a hand.
